Renee, Bill and I drove down to Portage Glacier on a chilly, rainy day. Nevertheless, the views were stunning.
Alaska SeaLife Center
The Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward is situated on Resurrection Bay. There were all types of sea life – fish, sea lions, puffins and colorful sea creatures like star fish and anemone. One display allowed observers to touch sea anemone with two fingers – icky or fascinating depending on your perspective.
Seward
Bill and I spent a few days in Seward, Alaska. We visited Seward Brewing, Exit Glacier and the Alaska SeaLife Center. The weather was perfect – a clear day, moderate temperature.
Watch Out for Bears!
We can’t figure out if it was good that we didn’t notice this before hiking up to Exit Glacier or not. I must say at first glance I was happy to see guidance for what to do in case of a bear in the area: don’t turn and run; talk to it and back away […]

Plus our 2 seats are in the middle so we both have aisle seats. A rather nice dinner with wine will be served in […]
Fort Worth Flying Saucer
Getting to Fort Worth was a trip and a half. We left DFW in our rental car, plotted the route to our hotel in the GPS. Never mind, the powers that be decided that multiple construction projects on spaghetti-like highways with few signs and a broken traffic light along the way were a test to […]
LGA and IPA
A long day, leaving Franklin shortly after 7am. Easy driving until we hit NYC. Morgan met us on the upper east side and drove to LaGuardia with us, and took the car after dropping us off. So here we are in terminal C (not the new terminal D with pre-check as we had hoped). We […]
