I have always loved Daddy Long Legs spiders, even when I was terrified of other spiders. This is the first time I got a closeup of one.
On a recent walk on Christian Hill Road, we came across some fascinating aspects of nature. We have many frogs out back in our pond, and in the spring the little peepers, only about an inch or so, are fun to see. But on this day we came across the tiniest frog I have ever […]

We had a lovely gathering in Binghamton for Dad’s 93rd birthday. Morgan and Alonso came up from NYC with both a cake and a pie! Always room for more sweets. And we had a wonderful FaceTime with the west coast – so much joy in connection. A special gift from Bev was a framed photograph […]
The garden is in full swing. Chippy is back and begging for peanuts. The Jack-in-the-Pulpit, originally from her mother’s garden and given to her by twin Kenny, is thriving this year. Buddha says all is good.
The Hong Kong Park Conservatory is another gem in this urban oasis. An introductory room shows orchids and other beauties, while upstairs are two rooms devoted to dry and wet plant areas.
Not far from our hotel is Hong Kong Park. One section of the park is a magnificent aviary. The wooden paths run through the middle, high up from the ground. A massive metal net encloses the area.
