The view from our room

February 23, 2012 By Helen

View from our room, Shanghai Shanghai, Better City Better Life It was nice to wake up and get a chance to see our view. Unfortunately, it’s overcast and rainy this week, with no sign of much change, so visibility is quite low. One thing we noticed is that behind the facades on major roads, there are many smaller structures packed tight together. Later, while walking around, we walked through a few of these alleys that snaked through the smaller buildings. Fascinating change of scenery from busy bustling major streets to much narrower thoroughfares full of bicycles, scooters and pedestrians. Very much like walking in Chinatown in NYC.
