The Golden Dragonfly

August 9, 2015 By Helen

We have a small pond out back that is teaming with activity. Every time we get near there are several plops as the frogs jump in the water. And there are many dragonflies. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a good photo of a dragonfly by the pond — they fly around too much and land only for seconds. But this year I’ve had some luck. There were two dragonflies that landed for a while, this golden one stayed still long enough to let me get a clear shot. It was the red one that proved difficult, but not impossible, to capture.
