Shanghai Brewery

Shanghai Brewery

Shanghai Brewery

Today was a big day on two fronts – we took the Metro for the first time, and we went back to the Shanghai Brewery and had a Northstar IPA. We caught the Metro at People’s Park, which is a block or two from the hotel. It was 4 stops on the No. 1 line to Hengshan Road, so pretty easy. It was quiet at the brewery. It’s an enormous and beautiful space, very nice to hang out there. The only Chinese food they had was spring rolls. I had a club sandwich and Bill had German sausage, we both had the IPA. It was good, but not our favorite. We had the Black Eyed Bear Stout, which was very good. Bill doesn’t usually have stout, but he liked this one.

We took the Metro back and got to the hotel in time for dessert in the lounge. Life is good.
