San Francisco… sort of

We arrived at SFO last night around 9:30pm, PDT, and drove to our hotel in Fremont, CA. It was a long day of driving from Franklin to JFK, picking up Morgan on the way so he could take the car after dropping us off at the airport. The flight was “only” 6 hours, not much after the Shanghai flight, but it’s still a long time to be in a cramped cabin seat.

We spent much of the day working on a computer problem that was plaguing us. After making some progress we went out to the closest brewpub we could find, Jack’s Brewing Company here in Fremont. The reviews we read online were mixed, so we weren’t sure what we’d find. They have a nice lineup: an IPA, Hardwood Pale Ale and a Red. We got samples of the Pale and Red, since we knew Bill would definitely have the IPA, so no need to test that. The Pale and Red were excellent, hard to choose. And the IPA was also excellent, it made us want to stay all night!
