Bev’s garden is a work of art. Each year it is a combination of new and old plants plus garden creatures, rocks, birdbaths and Chippy. This year she took particular care with the garden since she was invited to be part of the PAST Garden Tour. There were many trips to Agway, Ma’s Flowers, Nanticoke Gardens and Brother Brown’s. In recent weeks she had the indispensable help of Ginger and Chris. The days before the tour were gray and rainy, but on tour day it was dry if a bit cool.

Hints of Japan
The front yard at this home features a mini hibiscus tree, weeping willow tree, and a corner of grasses, alliums, dwarf gaillardia and gazanias. The backyard has a large red smoke bush draping over the oval base of white marble chips for a dry Japanese garden. The stepping-stones are guarded by two sculptures of sentinel male foo dogs at the entrance and exit.
