A Bounty of Apples

October 16, 2023 By Helen

In a year where most of us had dismal crops due to poorly timed frosts in the spring, the Gere’s apples in S. Montrose were a bumper crop. Did Paul have something to do with this?

Rain threatened and at times the dark clouds loomed, but generally the weather behaved. The congenial crowd worked tirelessly for hours while some of us kept company with Mary inside. Perhaps to stay close to the freshly made pies and cake?
